COVID-19 vaccinations in Niseko

Vaccinations for COVID-19 have started in Niseko. It is expected that all residents will be fully vaccinated by November 2021 and Niseko United ski resort to be operational for 2020/2021 winter season.

Our 2020/2021 winter season was a success. Our guests and staff remained healthy during their time with us, and there were zero COVID-19 cases reported amongst our Hokkaido Ski Club community. The season showed that skiing and snowboarding are safe activities to participate in. They occur outdoors, naturally involve social distancing and help maintain one’s physical and mental health. 

The resorts conduct sanitation practices regularly and have safety procedures to reduce COVID-19 risks. We continue to provide utmost attention and care to maintaining a safe environment for everyone. Our guests can be assured of a healthy and stress free holiday with us.

We understand our guests experience stress and uncertainty from the continuous changing of government directives and regulations. Our COVID-19 cancellation policy therefore offers complete flexibility so you can continue to book your holiday with peace of mind.

Booking cancellations for the 2021/2022 season that arise due to COVID-19 related reasons will be eligible for refunds in the form of a credit voucher:

  • The border of Japan or the country from which you are travelling is closed and prevents your ability to travel to Hokkaido.
  • You are tested positive for COVID-19 and all guests in your same booking are placed under mandatory quarantine (medical certificates and official government documents as proof must be provided).
  • A national or local government ordered closure of the entire ski resort.
